Emotional intelligence is a multi-dimensional concept that links emotion and cognition to improve human interactions. This book aims at solving the issue that whether emotional intelligence of team members is positively related to performance of teams. Emotional intelligence was measured on four dimensions, Self Emotion Appraisal (SEA), Other Emotion Appraisal (OEA), Use of Emotion (UE). Statistical tests like simple and multiple regression and correlation were applied to find out the relationship between the team performance, which is dependent variable, and emotional intelligence and its dimensions, which are the independent variables. All the variables had significant correlation among them. Findings show that emotional intelligence, SEA and UE affected team performance positively. However, positive relationship was not found between OEA, RE and team performance. The study will be beneficial for future researchers and organizations. Buch (fremdspr.)
